Industry Institute Interaction

The fast-changing technological advancements have been mandating industry to upgrade their resources, update the work force continuously, and retaining them are increasingly becoming challenging. Further, due to globalization, organizations need to maintain their competitive edge vis-à-vis quality and cost. In this context, organizations all over the world are looking at institutions of higher learning to churn out quality manpower, capable of learning quickly, being creative, and innovative, who would not only be able to contribute significantly as soon as they enter their profession as practicing professionals but also add value to the organizations. Hence, industries, R and D establishments, higher learning institutions, and society in general, have a strong mutual interest that forms the basis of a partnership between them. Towards meeting these expectations, Industry – Institute – Interaction (III) Cell has been constituted in our institution.

Overview

Aims and Objectives

  • Strengthening of the already established close links between Industry and Institute by interaction programs.
  • Inviting experts from industry and R and D establishments into the College Governing Body, College Academic Council, and Board of Studies of each department for modernizing curricula and also for discussing feasibility of initiating new academic programs that would inculcate skills catering to Industry 4.0 and 5.0 requirements.
  • Facilitating increased number of internships in reputed industries.
  • Increasing dissemination of technical advances through both formal and informal educational methods.
  • Vigorously reaching out to the industry, showcasing our expertise for training the shop floor personnel through short-term refresher programs.
  • Organizing seminars, symposiums, exhibitions and workshops in collaboration with industry / R and D organizations.
  • Widening the scope for effective implementation of R and D and consultancy.
  • Collaborating with the Institution’s Innovation Cell and Entrepreneurship Development Cell of the institute promoting the development of Proofs of Concept (PoCs), Prototypes, Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) and transforming them to Start-ups.
  • Collaborating with industry for research and development in the state of art technology and products.
  • Optimum usage of the infrastructure facilities of the college for utilization by the Industry in revenue generation.
  • Other partnership programs, for mutual benefit
