B.Tech "Computer Science and Engineering - Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning" (CSE-AI&ML) department was established in the year 2020.
It started with an intake of 60 in the academic year 2020-21. Subsequently, intake in B. Tech. (CSE-AI&ML) have increased to 180 in the academic year 2021-22, 240 in the academic year 2023-24, 240 in the academic year 2024-25
The Department is chaired by Dr. G. Bindu Madhavi, she has a total experience of 13 years in Teaching and Research, She received her Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science and Engineering from JNTUH with specialization of Digital Image Processing in the year 2020 and Master of Technology (Computer Science and Engineering) from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, in the year 2011. She published more than 30 research papers till now in various national, international journals and conferences. She also published a book chapter and has 3 patents to her name. Her research interests include Digital Image Processing, Machine Learning and Deep Learning. In addition, she is a skilled administrator. Her organizing and negotiating abilities are strong. Sets realistic objectives, carefully organizes activities to guarantee everyone's involvement, and comes to an agreement to realize desired dreams.
Department has 2 Professors, 8 Associate Professors, 6 Senior Assistant Professors and 24 Assistant Professors. Among these, there are 7 doctorates in the department. The department has a supporting staff to assist and maintain the computer laboratories.
The department has Programmers and System Administrator to assist and maintain the computer laboratories. All the faculty members are motivated to participate in Faculty Development Programmes, Conferences, Workshops, Publication of Research Papers and active involvement in R & D activities.
